No Sew Button up Spring Jacket...

The last few weeks I've been sewing my brains out..literally!! So this week I thought I would change things up a bit.
Before I took on sewing I found a really cute pattern on etsy that involved making a spring jacket with NO sewing involved (at least not on a sewing machine). There are some buttons to sew on and a really easy border stitch involved but again very easy. Her directions were very simple and the pictures were extremely easy to follow. The first time I made it I didn't follow her directions exactly...I was trying the free spirit thing and all, but I wasn't exactly pleased with the result. Resulting in not posting last week..sorry sisters. So back to the drawing board I went for a second try, this time to follow her directions exactly. I do recommend doing the stitch around the boarder and not crocheting around the boarder because it was much easier and much much much faster. Plus I love the look of the whip stitch much better than the crochet stitch around the edge. There's nothing cuter than something hand stitched. This project took me one afternoon to complete and I made the girls matching jackets. It was a really fun and easy project to just sit down and do without much thinking involved and the result is adorable.

I found the pattern at Carolina Fair Designs and the pattern was called The Button up Bolero
