Drab to Fab ♥

I hit the jackpot at Goodwill this past week! 

Here is a shot of all the treasures I found...

 

...all these (seemingly hideous) items will be transformed into beautiful things, and I want to take you along for the ride, one transformation at a time!

We're still buildin' stuff so I want to save the re-model pics for later, and show you these small projects that all play a part in the bigger picture (and to what seems now like a "new" house to us!)

Once Upon A Time...there was an ugly chair, from Goodwill, for only $7.99 folks!

...that was originally from Sibley's, made in 1969 (that's what that little piece of paper says anyway)

...the two awesome 5000 aunts were hard at work removing many layers of fabric and 14 thousand staples and some yucky foam (wow, these aunts know how to get down 'n dirty!)

 

...we then traced and glued 3 inch thick foam to the seat of the chair 

which was finally free of all debris...

 ...then came the awesome 5000 fabric (that i ♥) 

covering the foam and stapling on the bottom of the free from debris base...

 

 ...we used burlap to cover the exposed wood, to make it look nice 'n neat...

 TA-DA! a nice thick new chair covered and ready to rock some spray paint!

 

The End ♥...

(I love the end result...and especially love how well they fit with a newly painted black dining set...the spray paint I used is by Rustolem/ Metallic Antique Bronze, printed fabric & burlap were from Joann's)
