♥ Ballerina Birthday...

Last Sunday my littlest baby girl turned 5...
I remember when she was just a little baby...
She asked for a ballerina birthday a couple months before, so i had time to think about the decorations i wanted to make...here's what i came up with...

I'm a fan of this nice ladies free paper doll site...so many cute dollies ♥
I found this "Betsy goes to the Ballet" doll in the Betsy McCall archives on a link from her site...

12 x12 scrapbook paper, and paper flowers (that i posted about here)
glue tape, hot glue and some pink tulle

cut the tulle in small squares, fold and hot glue to the dollies tutu

the dollies on toothpicks i printed smaller for cupcake toppers
there are different ways to make these pinwheels floating all over blog land, but this is how i did mine after cutting my 12 x12 scrapbook paper into 4's
(i used the glue tape in all these steps)

punch a hole in the top and thread ribbon through

Happy Birthday little Ballerina ♥...

i made the banner from the same stack of flowers (flea market by colorbok)

the cupcake liner template came from Skip to my Lou...

  4. I absolutely, positively love, love, love what you did with that most whimsical and wonderful Betsy McCall image! You definitely have an exceptional eye for color, composition and design as evident with the colors and patterns you chose for the rosettes! The addition of the bit of real tulle to the cupcake toppers is fabulous.

It isn't my usual habit to visit links from other parties and then ask someone to link-up to my own, but your party and all the lovely details are such a stand-out that I hope you won't be offended or think me tacky if I make an exception and ask you to come by and share your party on my blog if you are so inclined?

  12. I was wondering how did you print the dolls? I want to do something with this doll for my daughters sixth birthday. I don't want to print the whole page that she comes on, and I was wondering how you were able to just print her. If you could help me I would be so grateful. I love your blog and all your fun ideas. Thank you for your time. You can contact me at nettiebowles@gmail.com

    Thanks again,
    Nanette
